PANIC ATTACKS - WHAT ARE THEM AND HOW DO THEY MANIFEST?

Panic Disorder (Panic Attacks)

It often happens that you feel such an intense fear that it triggers a  panic attack? In those moments, or even when you are relaxed, you feel:

  • heartbeat,

  • sweating, tremor / chills,

  • the feeling of suffocation  (difficult breathing),

  • chest pain,

  • nausea,

  • dizziness,

  • feeling cold or hot,

  • numbness or tingling sensation,

  • sentiment of unreality or detachment from oneself,

  • fear of going mad or even fear of death  ?

Panic attacks - causes and effects:

Specialist studies show that certain mechanisms of our brain, with the role of triggering the biological system of "alarm" when we perceive a threat, are activated and remain "alert". This causes our body to prepare for a magnifying glass or run in order to act (accelerated heart rate, jerky breathing, etc.), but it remains in this phase of "preparation" that leads to overload of the body, which leads to the appearance of a panic attack.
